We take reservations until 10PM daily except for Tuesdays (6:45PM cutoff for trivia). If a date or time you're looking to book is unavailable, please check our Events Calendar at theamerican.bar - for certain events we may not take any reservations or have limited booking availability. If there is no event listed we are full for reservations.
All reservations have a time limit of 3.5 hours unless otherwise stated.

The American is Vancouver’s premier multi-purpose venue, combining a lively bar, arcade, music venue, and event space at the crossroads of Mount Pleasant and Strathcona. Since opening in 2016, we have been locally and independently owned, dedicated to showcasing great local beers, unique cocktails, and the best bar food around.
Need an event space? We can host groups up to 250 without the hefty fees found elsewhere. We offer an unparalleled entertainment experience, featuring a wide array of games, including the Lower Mainland's best selection of new pinball machines.
