Why We Like It

What do you get when you cross a Japanese outdoor store with a locally sourced restaurant group? Throw in top-notch cocktails and, apparently it’s Takibi. Groups can gather around Snow Peak’s Mini Flame on the patio tables and gorge on braised pork belly served with multicolored camping sporks. Bonus: Try the Suntory Toki Highball machine for a beautifully simple whiskey cocktail, carbonated and blended to perfection.

Need to Know

We open for dinner at 4:30pm Wednesday through Monday with last seating at 8:30pm; Happy Hour from 4:30pm - 5:30pm. Please also join us for a bowl of ramen or mazesoba at lunch, Wednesday through Monday, 11:30-3:00, no reservation required. Closed Tuesdays.

Reservations are available for indoor dining room tables. Our bar, patio, and lounge are available for walk-ins and are seated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that entering your name on the Notify list feature on Resy does not guarantee a reservation. Thank you for your interest in dining with us!

Takibi, meaning “bonfire” in Japanese, is a Japanese restaurant in Portland created by Snow Peak, the iconic Japanese outdoor lifestyle brand. Rooted in the spirit of gathering and cooking around the fire, Takibi offers a modern and comforting take on Japanese cuisine, highlighting seasonal ingredients sourced from both Oregon and Japan.

Our chef-driven menu features fresh sushi, sashimi, grilled dishes, and a curated selection of over 20 premium sakes from Niigata, the home prefecture of Snow Peak. Each dish reflects the Japanese tradition of craftsmanship and connection to nature.
