Come for the crispy buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with tangy slaw and spicy mayo on a soft brioche bun — and stay for the cocktails. Get the hibiscus plum spritz if you’re feeling sweet, and the chili-beet Negroni if you’re feeling spicy.

If you are running late, please call the restaurant at 215-867-8067. We hold the table for a grace period of 15 minutes before offering the reservation to our waitlist.

Walnut Street Café is a University City mainstay serving innovative riffs on American comfort food from an award-winning team. Executive Chef Jack Peterson balances elevated techniques and approachability to create seasonal menus that champion high-quality, local ingredients. Walnut Street Café is owned and operated by Warren HQ — the hospitality group behind Sunset Social and The Post located in the Cira Green building — in partnership with Brandywine Realty Trust.

Walnut Street Café is open Monday through Sunday for lunch, Tuesday through Saturday for dinner and an unrivaled happy hour dubbed “Golden Hour,” and Sunday jazz brunch.
