This two-story bar from Zahav chef Mike Solomonov, housed within a 19th-century Olde Kensington firehouse, is where citrusy drinks shine, crisp wines flow freely, oysters are shucked to order, and you're always sure to have a good time. Don't sleep on the Jaffa burger with green chiles, or the bone-in monkfish, either.

Need to Know

We are thrilled to welcome you to Jaffa Bar! Reservations are available 7 days a week and can be made for parties of 2-8 guests. Ample seating is available for walk-ins, both at one of the restaurant’s three bars, and at dining tables. Walk-in guests are welcomed on a first come first serve basis. For parties larger than 8 guests, please email us at events@jaffabarphilly.com.

Reservations are released 4 weeks to-the-day at 11am ET, in advance of the reservation date and open one day at a time in a rolling fashion. For example! — reservations for Saturday, October 25th will be released on Saturday, September 27th (4 weeks prior to the reservation date).

Jaffa Bar is a bi-level restaurant, if you have accessibility concerns please email us at info@jaffabarphilly.com. A 20% service charge will be added to your final bill. One hundred percent of this service charge goes towards paying our entire hourly staff (including the kitchen) a minimum wage.

About Jaffa Bar Philly

Jaffa Bar is an oyster bar showcasing the flavors of Israel with the spirit of Philadelphia. The restaurant is uniquely situated inside a historic, two-story firehouse in the Olde Kensington neighborhood. The restaurant design takes a cue from the sunlit hues of the architecture of its namesake, the port city of Jaffa — a coastal Israeli city that for thousands of years has welcomed the world through its port.

The menu served seven days-a-week at Jaffa Bar features a combination of oyster bar classics, Israeli-inflected seafood preparation, and timeless bar-food, with the cocktail bar offering an extensive menu of drinks befitting a proper Philadelphia bar, plus those with influence from Jaffa’s citrus-rich Mediterranean coast.
