Why We Like It
It’s the namesake restaurant of one of the city’s kaiseki masters, formerly of the late chef David Bouley’s now-closed Brushstroke. The menu is luxe and seasonal while holding on to tradition without being afraid to build upon them.
Need to Know
At Yamada, guests can enjoy a full view of the kitchen from our intimate 10-seat Chef’s Counter made of hinoki wood, where Chef Isao Yamada serves a seasonal tasting menu. Reservations open 20 days in advance, and we offer two seating times at 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. We accept reservations for parties of 1 to 4. For larger parties or private events, please email reserve@yamadanewyork.com
The Chef’s Tasting Menu is $330 per person. Please allow approximately 2 hours for your dining experience, as we cannot guarantee the full experience for guests arriving more than 15 minutes late. Cancellations, adjustments, and rebookings should be made 48 hours prior to your reservation time; otherwise, you may incur a $330 credit card cancellation fee. Guests may transfer their reservation to someone else or reschedule for a later date.
