Why We Like It

This light and airy Scandinavian spot, opened by Danes Sebastian Perez and Sebastian Bangsgaard (formerly of Tribeca’s Copenhagen) stands out brightly in the East Village, with its menu of traditional Nordic specialties (Swedish meatballs, Danish hot dogs) and American fare. Not that you’d need it, but just in case, try the Hangover Sandwich — shredded beef with rémoulade, crispy onions, pickles, braised cabbage, and tarragon aïoli on a brioche bun.

*We are currently open for indoor & outdoor dining with limited reservations available. We will always reserve room and prioritize space for walk-ins. We have indoor booths, tables, bar seating and outdoor seating available. *Our outdoor area is not heated or structurally covered (we do have umbrellas!)

We will hold your reservation for 15 minutes. Cancellations within 2 hrs of reservation and no-shows will incur a $10 fee per guest.

About Smør

Smør is a popular neighborhood restaurant serving up Nordic-Inspired fare. Started by two young Danes, expect to find something for any palate. Lunch/Brunch is served daily, including staples like Danish pancakes, stacked open-faced sandwiches (Smørrebrød) and egg dishes. By night, a more intimate setting with smaller plates, and classics like Swedish meatballs and a nordic rendition of Fish & Chips. Sip on an assortment of rotating Natural Wine, cocktails and beer.
