Why We Like It
It’s a revival of celebrity chef Marc Murphy’s restaurant, then and now famously open only three days a month. If you can snag a table for one of those days, you’re in for a four-course prix-fixe that spans from wild mushroom risotto to roasted celery root.

About Marc179
Chef Marc Murphy welcomes Chef Justin Smillie to Marc179 for an exclusive two-night collaboration, open July 22 & 23 only. Smillie brings his mobile wood-fired oven straight into the Tribeca space, sending pizzas out hot from the fire while the rest of the menu is cooked over traditional Japanese binchotan charcoal. Expect Girl & Dug Farm tomatoes, Thai-Calabrian sausage, and a wood-fired Margherita, paired with an excellent wine list and the relaxed, dinner-party atmosphere Marc179 is known for. A true meeting of two culinary styles, this is a dining experience unlike anything Marc179 has hosted before. Seating is limited — reserve now.
