Why We Like It

One of the most beloved food trucks in our city has found a permanent home in Queens and we couldn’t be happier. Makina specializes in Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine, so expect plenty of sambusas, beef tibs, and perfectly spongy injera.

More than just a restaurant, Makina is a testament to community and connection. From its humble beginnings as a food truck, the business has grown organically and proudly alongside the neighborhood that embraced it from day one. The launch of the new full-service location is a continuation of this bond, a way for Makina to offer a more permanent and welcoming space to the community that has welcomed it in with such open arms.

Reservations are for dining only, The bar area is reserved for walk-in guests. Tables are only held for 15 minutes before being offered up to our waitlist. We ask that tables respect seating times of 90 minutes out of respect for other guests.
