Why We Like It

Don’t call it a comeback. Delmonico’s has returned to FiDi in all its glory. The timeless menu, with caviar service, dover sole, and a porterhouse for two, hasn’t changed too much in the last two centuries — for good reason. Do note that this is the place where chicken a la king, lobster Newburg, and the wedge salad were invented, so order accordingly.

About Delmonico's

Established in 1837, Delmonico's remains the oldest restaurant in New York City and returns for the fall of 2023. Living in its original building at the intersection of Beaver & William Street in the financial district, Delmonico's holds to be the first dining establishment in America to be called by its French name "Restaurant”.
