Contra alumnus Fidel Caballero is behind this exciting Mexican restaurant in the heart of Chinatown where you can expect tasting menus, a chef’s counter, and a standout à la carte menu featuring fiercely regional Northern Mexican ingredients and techniques drawn from around the globe. Don’t sleep on the drinks, either, many of which feature sotol and other agave-based spirits you may or may not have had before.

Need to Know

Chef's Counter and Tasting Menu reservations require full party participation for our $140 tasting menu. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any allergies or dietary restrictions in our tasting menu at this time. Tasting Menu and Chef's Counter dining is a 2 hour and 15 minute experience but please feel free to continue the evening at our bar following the meal. A La Carte reservations are available each day for the front of the restaurant as well as bar seating. Limited bar seats will be available for walk ins each evening.

About Corima

Corima is a Progressive Mexican restaurant that combines flavors from Chef Fidel Caballero’s upbringing in the north of Mexico, global influence from his travels, and a strong focus on local and seasonal cooking. Corima — which translates to “circle of sharing” — highlights ingredients and techniques from the northern states of Mexico alongside Japanese, Chinese, and Spanish flavors to bring a unique, Progressive Mexican cuisine to New York City.

Chef Caballero hails from the border towns of Ciudad Juárez, MX and El Paso, TX. He has spent the last fifteen years cooking around the world from spending time in Basque Country with the great Martin Berasategui to sous chef at Contra in New York, as well as Shanghai, to name a few.

The beverage menu at Corima pays homage to the Northern region’s rich heritage, focusing on Mexican spirits such as Sotol, as an ode to the Chihuahuan Desert, along with natural wines from the Guadalupe Valley.
