Why We Like It

It’s a bistro with mainly French sensibilities, meaning steak au poivre, nicoise, and ratatouille all made their way onto the menu. Housed in the former Koloman space inside the Ace Hotel, the spot maintains much of the same big-windowed, stately charm as its predecessor.

At Bistro 29, Chef Jarett Brodie brings French provincial cooking into the rhythm of New York. The open kitchen is part theater, part craft. Plates are composed with restraint and grace, served in a room made for conversation and celebration.
