Why We Like It

This massive temple to fresh Greek seafood and specialties occupies the bottom three levels of what was once known as the historic Time/Life building near Rockefeller Center, and the food impresses as much as the spacious environs. Freshly caught whole fish are on abundant display, and you shouldn’t leave without at least one order of the Avra chips: paper-thin slices of fried zucchini and eggplant elegantly layered together atop a crisp white plate.

About Avra Rockefeller Center

Avra Estiatorio Rockefeller Center is a chic rendition of the seaside tavernas dotted all over Greece’s Cycladic region. Our spectacular restaurant is aptly situated in New York City's heartbeat, directly across from the famed Radio City Music Hall. Similar to our other locations, Avra Estiatorio Rockefeller Center boasts an impressive selection of seafood flown in daily from the Mediterranean, as well as local catch. Artisinal Greek olive oil, Mediterranean sea salt, pristine seafood, and locally sourced produce all play a large role in our flavorful, authentic Hellenic fare.
