Set inside a beautiful space lined with ink-stained murals (courtesy of artist Qiu Anxiong), Atlas Kitchen is an Upper West Side gem that plays with the regional cuisines of Hunan and beyond. Must-orders include the seafood egg custard and spicy pig feet, but order with your eyes — there’s a reason the hanging sliced pork belly is on every table.

About Atlas Kitchen

Atlas Kitchen is a contemporary Chinese restaurant with subdued elegance in a muted color scheme, marble tabletops and a mural of mountains and towers done by the artist Qiu Anxiong in the style of traditional Chinese watercolors. Though the menu includes some popular items, like soup dumplings and pot stickers, it also offers a feast for those with uninhibited tastes for robust seasoning and offal.
