Why We Like It

L.A.’s most exclusive tasting menu destination, Somni earned three Michelin stars after its West Hollywood relaunch under chef Aitor Zabala (an elBulli alum). The reinvented Somni seats just 14 guests for a meticulously choreographed, Spanish-inflected tasting journey crafted with California ingredients. With dishes like dashi meringue with caviar and shiso tartare tempura, the intimate experience is one of the most coveted reservations in town.

Need to Know

Somni operates by reservation only. We are unable to accommodate walk-ins. In order to preserve the flow and integrity of the experience, we offer a 15-minute grace period after your scheduled reservation time to begin the tasting menu. After this window, we cannot guarantee accommodation or the full experience.

Due to the nature of Somni’s tasting menu and culinary approach, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate dietary restrictions, including gluten, dairy, egg, gelatin, and nut allergies, as well as vegan, vegetarian, or no meat/seafood preferences.

Valet parking is available, with additional parking options nearby. We kindly encourage guests to arrive on time to enjoy the experience in its entirety.

Under the direction of Chef Aitor Zabala, Somni is reimagined as a deeply personal, transportive, and emotive dining experience—brought to life by a dedicated team whose craft, precision, and hospitality shape every moment of the journey. Together, the Somni team reflects Chef Zabala’s Catalan roots and his enduring connection to Southern California, now home.

Somni presents an extensive tasting menu, with seatings available at both the Chef’s Counter and in our private dining room, where guests are invited into a close dialogue with the kitchen and service team. Our wine program features a 400-selection list highlighting benchmark producers from Spain and California, alongside exceptional bottlings from around the world, curated and presented by our sommelier team to complement each course with intention and care. Corkage is available at $150 per 750 ml bottle (limit two bottles per party) for wines not represented on our list.
