Why We Like It

It might be a little off the beaten path, but this NYC offshoot is just replicating its half-hidden location in Manhattan’s Chinatown. Cocktails with witty names served by bartenders in pharmacist garb, the booze-as-medicine metaphor never really ends here. Inside gives off a good speakeasy vibe, but the patio on the banks of the L.A. River is the place to be.

Need to Know

All table reservations should be booked through Resy. Table reservations are limited to 2 hours depending upon availability and your party's punctuality is appreciated. Limited walk-in seating and bar service are available on a first-come, first-served basis as capacity allows. Apotheke offers beverage-only service at this time.

Pets--however cute they may be--are not allowed on the premises! Thank you for your understanding.

About Apotheke LA

Inspired by the history and rise of the apothecary in Europe as well as the artistic influence of absinthe dens in 19th century Paris, Apothéke is the first of its kind. The entire experience from wandering down a hidden street to find the entrance, to tasting the first sip of a specialty cocktail made with exotic herbs and fruits – is a pleasure.

At Apothéke, the presentation of a cocktail is just as dramatic as the cocktail itself. The bar is no longer a bar. It’s a stage. A chemistry lab. A theatre. A unique-shaped Austrian crystal glass is carefully selected for each cocktail, and into it, is poured a beautiful, jewel-colored liquid. This is much more than a cocktail bar – this is a cocktail apothecary.
