Tucked beside Katami sits celebrated Houston chef Manabu “Hori” Horiuchi’s most ambitious project to date: a six-seat counter that aims to transport diners to Japan through a meticulous omakase experience. The minimalist space allows for highly personal service, with carefully curated plates that blend premium seafood from Tokyo’s Toyosu Market with traditional and creative touches.

Need to Know

Sushi Horiuchi is open Tuesday-Saturday only. Reservations are required and must be prepaid thru the Resy app. Sushi Horiuchi only has 6 seats and cannot accommodate parties larger than six.

Reservations are released once a month, on the first of the month, for the entire following month at precisely 10am thru Resy. The cost is $300 per person with an additional $125 Classic Sake pairing option and a $250 Premium Sake pairing option. Chef Hori is also a Sake Sommelier and will be hand selecting the sakes to best pair with his food for the evening and encourages this option to complement your Omakase experience.

The Omakase starts promptly at 7pm. Please arrive at by 6:45pm. The Omakase will start at the same time for all 6 guests, right at 7pm. Please arrive on time. We will not seat any guests who arrive after 7:15pm. Please call or email us if you are having trouble making your reservation time.

Chef Manabu Horiuchi has opened up Sushi Horiuchi, the smallest and most exclusive Omakase restaurant experience in Houston. With only 1 seating Tuesday- Saturday and just 6 seats, this will be his most intimate project to date. Sushi Horiuchi combines very traditional Japanese elements of Omakase dining with a playful modern touch to give diners a unique experience unmatched in the city. Expect to be transported to a small sushi bar tucked away in a Tokyo side street, if only for a few hours.
