Need to Know
We take walk-ins and limited reservations 7 days a week; we offer open seating for walk-ins on Fridays and Saturdays, but highly suggest a reservation. Reservations on Fridays and Saturdays are limited to 1 hour and 30 minutes for parties of 2, and 2 hours for parties of 3-6. If we are able to accommodate extensions, we will happily do so but cannot guarantee it.
We do not accept parties larger than 6 in order to preserve the intimate atmosphere and ensure that drinks are served in a timely manner. There are no exceptions to this policy - we will not honor multiple reservations that attempt to circumvent this, nor will we be able to split parties.
If you are running late, please text us at (704) 572-8678. If we don't hear from you, we will hold your spot for 10 minutes past the reservation time, after which the reservation will be considered a no-show. We do not accept anyone under the age of 21, including children.

Idlewild is a small, intimate cocktail bar in the NoDa neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. It offers a plethora of classically and neo-classically inspired cocktails based on a guests' preference. The staff here pride themselves in their attention to detail both in hospitality and product, utilizing extensive training and knowledge to provide excellent beverages with hand-carved ice, fresh juice to order, and only fresh ingredients in a comfortable, close setting.
