The Blue Warbler
There’s something for everyone at The Blue Warbler, whether you fancy a tuna melt, Turkish breakfast plate, or a maple soft-serve ice cream.
Tailgate Sports Bar
Do as the name orders and head here to watch the game. Even if your team doesn’t win, you may get to see someone take on the Atomic Wings Challenge, which could be just as nail-biting.
Oroshi Sushi Omakase
Under $100 omakase is never a bad idea, especially when it’s prepared with as much care and focus on freshness as it is at Oroshi. Oh, and it’s BYOB, so prepare accordingly.
Attico
Head here for a 21+ rooftop bar with all the expected vibes and some fantastic views of Center City. DJs, cocktails, and superb views abound.
The Pullman Restaurant & Bar
Bryn Mawr’s The Pullman pulls (sorry) design inspiration from the dining cars of 1940’s trains. Add on the weekly live music and the lump crab cakes and we’re all aboard.
LeoFigs
It’s a true mom-and-pop from a couple with years of industry experience and a genuine devotion to Fishtown. Plus, wine made in-house and an interior decorated with repurposed church pews never hurt anyone.
The Saints Restaurant and Lounge
Come dressed to take photos in front of their wall of greenery or on their light-up staircase — everyone else does. Dinner tends to turn into a party here, so know that they offer bottle service in addition to West African-inspired cuisine.
Soufiane at the Morris
Peruse the Sofi Corner of this menu, where chef Soufiane places his most "home cooking" of options. Know that the lamb tagine is worthy of a visit, even if you might have to book a room upstairs after for a nap.
Not Your Average Joe's – Ardmore
It’s an empire of (from scratch) kitchens serving up comforting fare, from lobster rolls to Buffalo chicken pies. Don’t forget the buttermilk biscuit strawberry shortcake for dessert, if you know what’s good for you.
Amma's South Indian Cuisine
It’s mother’s love you can taste, served in an absolutely sprawling space. They’ve also got locations in New Jersey, but here the tamarind rice bowl has our heart.
Spice Finch
With its sunny, vegetable-forward Mediterranean menu and quietly elegant decor, this Rittenhouse essential stands out brightly on the Philadelphia restaurant scene. Pro tip: Do opt for the $64 chef’s tasting menu, which changes seasonally, and features mezze, flatbread, small plates and kebabs, your choice of lamb shank or whole fish for the table, and, of course, sweets.
Tiffin Indian Cuisine Fairmount
With 11 locations, Tiffin must be doing something right. We think those somethings include the lamb leg kebab and peshawari naan, but we’ll let you decide for yourself.
Aroma on Third
It’s Italian cuisine that spans the boot: Calabria, Napoli, and Roma, for a few. Give us truffle tortellini paired with grilled shrimp salad and we’re set.
Erawan Thai Cuisine
With a menu of Thai classics and warm, friendly service, Erawan offers a lot to love. Their generous BYOB policy is just the crushed peanuts on top of the pad thai.
El Chingon Philly
For fans of chef Juan Carlos Aparicio’s stacked Puebla-style sandwiches and tacos, the wait is over: El Chingón now takes reservations. Aparicio, who created the bread program at Parc, brings creative takes on Mexican classics to this bright South Philly spot for lunch, brunch, and dinner.
Terra Grill
Michelin-starred French chef Laurent Tourondel makes his Philly debut with this destination for dinner, brunch, and happy hour. The menu blends European and Asian influences through a wood-fired American lens, with dishes like a lemony chicken parm sandwich on pillowy bread with tonkatsu dipping sauce. At brunch, look for treats like sticky brioche topped with whiskey-caramel sauce.
Mei Mei Philadelphia
After a floor-to-ceiling renovation, Mei Mei is back and looking sharper than ever. The refreshed space leans dramatic, with moody lighting and bold decor, while the Taiwanese fusion menu includes dishes like wok-tossed lamb chops, edamame dumplings, and spicy fried shrimp. Watch for DJ nights and other events — a good excuse to check out the late-night menu, served on weekends until 1 a.m.
Not Your Average Joe's – Glen Mills
Glen Mills
Buttonwood Grill
Peddler’s Village
Your favorite old-school pizza place just opened a new restaurant with a full bar — a first for the Tacconelli family, now in its fifth generation of restaurateurs. Make the trip for drinks from the classic, fruity, bubbly, and rustic sections of the menu. You’ll find tomato pie slices here — not classic pizza — along with arancini, cutlets, meatballs, and cannoli, so come hungry.
